White Sox Charities selling Championship Plaza bricks to commemorate 10-year anniversary of World Series Championship

Chicago White Sox Charities (CWSC) will commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the 2005 World Series Championship by selling a limited number of commemorative bricks in the Championship Plaza at U.S. Cellular Field.

Fans are invited to commemorate a special event, an exciting milestone or a family member through several brick options on whitesox.com/BrickPlaza. Each engraved brick purchase will be accompanied with a complimentary replica brick in time, along with an individually-numbered official acknowledgment of the brick's inscription.

Additional replica bricks and display cases also are available for purchase. Fans must place orders by November 3 to receive their replica brick and official acknowledgment in time for the holidays. Supplies of bricks are limited, so fans are encouraged to act quickly.

"The Championship Plaza is a landmark at U.S. Cellular Field that honors a tremendous part of White Sox history," said Christine O'Reilly, executive director of Chicago White Sox Charities. "We are thrilled to give fans the opportunity to leave their mark at U.S. Cellular Field with their brick purchases, while also giving back to the community through their support of this White Sox Charities fundraising endeavor."

The Championship Plaza commemorates the team's historic run to the third World Series in franchise history, anchored by the Championship Monument and surrounded by brick pavers personalized by White Sox fans. It was installed in 2008 outside of the Gate 4 main entrance. The bricks commemorating the 10-year anniversary are expected to be installed in spring 2015 (weather permitting).

Fans can purchase bricks by visiting whitesox.com/BrickPlaza or by calling 844-WSOXBRK (844-976-9275). Proceeds from the brick sale will benefit CWSC.
